Getting Started

Connect in 3 steps

Get an SMB Sidekick account

Sign up at smbsidekick.ai — free 14-day trial, no credit card needed. Complete onboarding to get your AI business phone number assigned and your knowledge base configured.

Add the connector in Claude

Go to Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the server URL and click Connect.

Authenticate with your account

You'll be redirected to the SMB Sidekick login page. Sign in with your existing credentials — you'll return to Claude with all 13 tools active and ready to use.

No raw transcripts

SMB Sidekick never stores call transcripts — only AI-generated summaries. TCPA-compliant by design.

Phone numbers hashed

All caller phone numbers are stored as SHA-256 hashes, never as plaintext. Caller privacy protected by default.

Org-level isolation

Your connector only accesses your organization's data. Complete tenant isolation via Supabase row-level security.

Encrypted at rest

All OAuth tokens encrypted using AES-256 Fernet. Secrets managed via Doppler — never hardcoded.

TCPA opt-outs honored

The send_sms tool checks the opt-out list before every send. STOP requests honored immediately and permanently.

Disconnect anytime

Remove the connector from Claude Settings → Connectors at any time. Your SMB Sidekick data is unaffected.

Troubleshooting

Common issues

Tools return empty data

Make sure you've completed SMB Sidekick onboarding — your business phone number must be provisioned before call data is available. Check your dashboard at smbsidekick.ai/dashboard.

OAuth flow doesn't complete

Clear your browser cache and try reconnecting. Disconnect the connector in Claude Settings → Connectors and re-add it.

send_sms says number is opted out

Expected behavior — that number sent STOP to your business line. TCPA opt-outs are permanent by law and cannot be overridden.
